Cairn Terrier
One of the oldest breeds of Terriers and originating of Scotland, the hypoallergenic Cairn Terrier was bred as a working dog used to control vermin population. The Cairn Terrier gets its name from the cairns of Scotland, mounds of stones stacked as a memorial or landmark, typically high atop a hill. Easily the most famous of all Cairn Terriers was Toto in the film classic "The Wizard Of Oz". Spirited, active and small, the Cairn Terrier is at home in a city and condo environment.
