Golden Retriever
Originating of Scotland, the Golden Retriever is a hunting or gun dog bred to retrieve waterfowl and game birds including grouse, pheasant, quail or partridge. As a retrieving dog, the Golden Retriever is able to return quarry to the hunting party without damaging the kill. Today, the Golden Retriever is well-suited to life as a service dog, particularly for the hearing or sight impaired. Relatively large, the gentle Golden Retriever is friend to pets and people alike.
