Shiba Inu

Similar in size, coat and origin to their European Spitz cousins, the Shiba Inu is the smallest of the Spitz breeds originated of Japan. The Shiba Inu is thought amongst the oldest and purest breed of dogs. Endurance, courage, stealth and a pack mentality are the hallmark of mountiain hunting success for the Shiba Inu. WIth a high prey drive, speed and agility, the Shiba Inu must be well trained from a young age and is not particularly suited to home environs with other small pets.
