Italian Greyhound

The Italian Greyhound does not actually originate of Italy but of Turkey and Greece and was given the name based on its popularity throughout Italy during the Renaissance. The Italian Greyhound is slender, graceful, loyal and intelligent and essentially a smaller version of the more typical Greyhound. As the smallest of all the Greyhound breeds, the Italian Greyhound can be fragile and for that reason is generally better suited to an adult or retiree household than to one with active, young children.
