Maltipoo
Originating of the United States, the Maltipoo, while not an officially recognized as a pure breed by the AKC, is a modern breed of "designer dog"; an intentional cross-breeding of two specific purebreds: the Maltese and Poodle with the successful intention of creating a small, hypoallergenic dog. Highly trainable, and highly devoted, the Maltipoo is an affectionate companion dog. As with many toy breeds, the Maltipoo can be overly possessive and overly protective of its primary caregiver.
