Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Originating of Wales and beloved of royalty including Queen Elizabeth II, the Welsh Corgi was originally bred as a working and herding farm dog. There are two breeds of Corgi: the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and close but slightly larger cousin, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi. The Cardigan has a full length tail whereas the Pembroke tale is generally docked. As with the Australian Cattle Dog, the Corgi is a "heeler", meaning it nips at the heels of straggling livestock in pacing them forward.
