Originating of Scotland and also known as a Sheltie or Miniature Collie, the Shetland Sheepdog was originally bred as a working animal, tending, herding and protecting livestock. In modern times and because of their gentle and constant disposition, Shetland Sheepdogs work in service as therapy dogs. Devoted and loyal to its owner, the Shetland Collie, lively, curious and gentle is small enough to thrive in an urban condo environment and is friend to pets and people alike.
