Staffordshire Terrier

Though often confused, the Staffordshire Terrier is in fact a different dog breed than the Staffordshire Bull Terrier and is more commonly known as a Pitbull. Unfortunately early breeding was specific in creating a "blood sport" animal, capable of holding its own against bulls and bears and pitted against other Pit Terriers. The inherent aggression of the Staffordshire Terrier has led to specific ownership legislation throughout the world including outright bans in some places.
